KIIDS is a non-profit organization based in Southern New Jersey. It was founded in 2003 by several mothers of young children with Down syndrome who met at a monthly playgroup.

Our purpose in forming KIIDS was to help support new parents of babies with Down syndrome since we all had such positive experiences in sharing our stories with one another. Our mission at KIIDS is
to provide new parents of children with Down syndrome with the information and the necessary resources to help their child reach their full potential and to spread knowledge and information to medical professionals, educational professionals, and the public about Down syndrome.

Throughout the year, we have family get-togethers, host educational presentations and provide various opportunities for sharing information and support.

We also make members aware of other workshops, symposiums, and events that may be hosted by other groups & institutions.
