If you are reading this, you are either pregnant or recently gave birth to a new baby-so first of all, Congratulations on your baby! The birth of a child is a very exciting and overwhelming time. Learning that your child has Down syndrome can cause even more apprehension and worry. KIIDS is made up of parents that have experienced what you are going through right now. Many of us found that we did not have access to current information regarding Down syndrome when we received the diagnosis. Our group has information binders with the most up to date information about raising a child with Down syndrome so that you may realize the endless possibilities available to your child. The most important thing to remember is that you have a new baby. Although there may be some additional concerns at times, don't let that get in the way of enjoying your newest addition.
